EMMA'S DRAWINGS

For my FMP I will be looking at confectionary, a bright and exciting subject with a variety of textures to explore and repetitive images. The artists I am using for my research are Sarah Graham(top image) and Wayne Thiebaud (middle image).

SHANNON'S FINAL PIECE IN PRODUCTION

My final piece is a dress with my Ronald Searle inspired print. I sampled colours and then set about creating my final fabric which was then sent to fashion to be cut and made into my dress. The final image shows my dress with a sample of sheer fabric which I'd like to overlay on my dress with my own print.

BEVERLEY'S DEVELOPMENT

As part of my development one problem I had to solve was matching the base colour of my fabric with the background colour of my sheetwork. I spent time in the print studio using similar techniques from my sheets with the fabric, taking notes along the way on what worked and what didn't.

BETH'S SAMPLES TAKE 2

During my time in the print room I have explored a variety of colours that all link with my sheetwork based on surrealism. I have experimented with procion, pigment and discharge printing using both pattern repeat and block printing with my final design.

BETH'S SAMPLES

These pictures are a hand full of my samples, except for the top one showing my workspace after a mornings work in the print studio. The sample in the middle picture has been altered since the photo was taken, I added blue procion dye, but I don't think it looks as good as it did before I dyed the sample.

JAMIE-LEIGH'S SAMPLES TAKE 2

I have sampled across my 'scrap it/repair it' themes using a mixture of techniques, combining handmade felt with repeat printing.
